Balance Counseling
APPROACH

Approach

Counseling is for anyone seeking to move toward a positive change and balanced life. I believe being able to balance all of the areas of our lives will make us feel more confident.

Many people believe that if they have never suffered from a great loss or traumatic event in their lives then counseling is not something that applies to them. In the same sense, people who have experienced traumatic events at some point in their lives may feel like counseling will make things worse and that they are coping in their day to day lives just fine. In both instances I feel that counseling, no matter how large or small the issues seem, can have a positive effect and bring balance to your life. Facing some of these issues can be difficult but my goal is to provide the best atmosphere for you to safely open up and receive the help you are seeking. I have been trained in several different disciplines but I don’t assume any one with work for everyone. I tailor my approach specifically for you as I get to know you and what will work best. Every person is unique and deserves to be treated that way.

ABOUT ME

About Me

Being in private practice since 2004 and working with many individuals and couples who have found a way to live a more balanced fulfilled life only instills why I love what I do. I have always been drawn to what people can accomplish when they realize and believe in themselves and how to cope with life events, past, present, and future. I love helping people find their potential and learn their own strength and resiliency.

I attended the University of Washington for my BA in Psychology and then attended Seattle University for my Master’s Degree in Psychology. My training has taught me that each person comes to counseling in a different place and I am there to help them where they are and find their way. I have experience working with eating disorders, chemical dependency, couples, life transitions, depression, and anxiety.

I charge $130 dollars for a fifty-minute session for individuals and $150 for a fifty-minute session with couples. Payment is due at each session by either cash or check. If an appointment is not cancelled twenty-four hours in advance you will be charged for the full amount of the session. If you arrive at your session late, the session will end at the regular scheduled time and you will be charged for the full session.

Often times finding the right counselor can be difficult and that is why I offer a free 30 minute introductory meeting with potential clients. This will give you time to ask any questions you have and get an idea of how you feel.
